Arriving by Plane
From most countries, the easiest way is arriving at one of the international airports ORLY or CDG in Paris. From there you eather take a train or you rent a car directly at the airport.
From Orly Airport by car you will be arriving here within 2 hours, and from CDG Airport within 2h 30 min.
From the U.K. and Portugal there are direct fligts to Tours (TUF). At the terminal you have easy access to car rentals by most of the reputable companies to choose from. From there you will be at our doorstep within 1h 20 minutes.

Exploring France by car gives you the best experience. It gives you the freedom to tailor your trip just as you like it, whenever you like it, from wherever part of Europe your journey begins…
Please input these coordinates into your navigation system: 47.194686849215856, 1.7579615691961963 and you decide which route suits you the best arriving at Chateau de Fins. Have in mind that while hitting the smaller roads through the countryside in Sologne/Berry you could encounter wild game, so drive carefully.
Arriving by train
From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport you can hop on the train INTERCITÉ 3625. You can jump of at Vierzon, Issoudun, or Chateauroux.
Direct trains from Paris Austerlitz are usually available every day on the route to Vierzon. You’re likely to be travelling with TGV, SNCF or OUIGO. Choose a direct train to Vierzon station which will take about 1 hour 30 minutes. From Vierzon train station we can arrange to pic you up by car.
As the main train operators on this route, all offer plenty of space for luggage and comfortable seating as standard.
Advisably, book your train ticket in advance online instead of buying them on the day.
(The TGV can also be boarded directly at CDG airport in Paris and connects to the Eurostar with the UK and other European countries.)
From the CDG airport you can also take the SNCF train that take you to our nearby village Villefranche-sur-Cher (total duration 3h 16 min). From there we can arrange to pick you up by car.
From Tours (TUF) airport: You can either use the airport bus services or grab a taxi to Tours Train Station. Your easiers travel destinations by train (SNCF) are either Gièvres or Villefranche-sur-Cher, both with a comfortable time table within an 1h. From there we can arrange to pick you up by car.

Check-in time: 4pm to 8pm
Check-out time: before 10:30am
Please feel free to check in between 4pm and 8pm on your day of arrival. We will greet you at our check-in desk in the chateau. To make it easier for you at check-in, we kindly ask you to prepare the list of number of guests who will share the same accommodation, including name and ID number. We take the safety and security of our guests very seriously.
We understand that journeys don’t always go as planned and as a result you might arrive later than expected. Please let us know by text or phone call if you’re delayed beyond 9pm, so that we can ensure someone is up to escort you to your rooms.
Check-out time is before 10.30 am on the day of departure. You’re more than welcome to hang around a bit longer before you go, it’s just we’ll need to prepare the bedrooms for our next guests.
We kindly remind you that breakfast is not included in our self-catering apartments.
During our organized events & retreats (breakfast included)
Continental Breakfast is served between 08.00 am-10:30 am on our terrace or in the breakfast room every morning.
If you need breakfast earlier than 08 am we offer to bring your a breakfast tray to your door for an extra charge of 8 €.
Please note that served breakfast while staying in one of the gites is not included in the price. However, if needed you can easily add a breakfast choice to your booking. We then bring a basket to your doorstep with freshly baked bread from the bakery, eggs from our chickens, milk, butter, jam, cheese and orange juice.
Please make sure to add your choice when booking a gite and for how many people.
For larger groups we can offer a catered set three-course dinner with wine or soft drink.
Up on arrival and each evening we offer a light cold cut platter including cheese, fruits, and wine for €28 per person.
Please reserve any meals at least 24 hours in advance.
Let us know of any food intolerance and we’ll be happy to accommodate you.
During your stay, you can buy your self a coffee/tea and other refreshments at our bar.
C.D.H. hold an Operating licence (Permis d’Exploitation).
Nearest necessities
For your convenience we have listed the nearest villages where you find necessities and more the quickest.
Dun Le Poelier 1,9 km: Our own village who sits on a great deal of history from the Bronze Age onward… Here is where we get our freshly made bread and other delicious pastries.
Gracay 12 km: A lovely village hosting a nice restaurant “L’Ardoise”, a grocery store, a gas station, a pharmacy, and too good not to mention, a Brocante shop.
Chabris 12 km: Here you find everything you need for your daily groceries, pharmacy needs e.t.c. Visit their Tourist Office who will be happy to recommend aktivities and interesting visits during your stay. Here you also can rent electrical bicycles).
Valencay 15 km: A pittoresque and historic little town set beautifully high up on a hill. You find nice restaurants, a pastry shop/café with delicious choices, and of cours the well known Chateau de Valencay ( who’s last private owner after selling moved to Chateau de Fins). Visit the friendly staff at their Tourist office so you don’t miss any of the activities held regularly. A town you need to visit if you’re here.
